For those of you who are not familiar with the choral music of Eric Whitacre, can I gently suggest that you become so. Now. Really, you'll thank me. Here's a good place to start, I'll wait while you watch this. You're welcome. Here's a link to an interview with Eric about choral singing. I particularly like this quote: I’m also attracted to the sheer egalitarian, democratic nature of the choir – the way that the self disappears and you become part of a bigger whole when you sing in a group. A choir is like a little village: made up of individual personalities, but the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
